Black and Colored

Today is the 1st day of Ramadan :-)

My friend sent me e-mail about a month ago. I don't like poetry but when I read it, I found that it was a good one. Very true, very straight forward, and also funny. And it made me think...

Sometimes we feel that we are better than the others. Sometimes we feel that we are richer than our neighbors, that we are prettier, smarter, etc. But we never realize that there must be someone who is more better, richer, prettier and smarter than us.

There is no need for being a snob. We are not the best, because there is always someone who has more than we have :-)
Here is what the poem said...

When I born, I Black
When I grow up, I Black
When I cold, I Black
When I go in sun, I Black
When I scared, I Black
When I sick, I Black
And when I die, I still Black...

And you, white fella
When you born, you Pink
When you grow up, you White
When you go in sun, you Red
When you cold, you Blue
When you scared, you Yellow
When you sick, you Green
And when you die, you Gray...

And you calling me Colored ??

SHOP When You DROP

I once read in the magazine, there were some tips about "How To Beat Boredom". And as far as I can remember (because it was a long time ago hahaha), here are the tips:
  1. Write journal (almost everyday)
  2. Write email to friends you haven't been in contact with for ages (maybe I will)
  3. Invite your friends around or go with them and talk about guys (that's fun, I'm sure)
  4. Clean your bedroom and reorganize your wardrobe (hmmm maybe later. I'm too lazy for that :-p)
  5. Makes some tapes of your favorite music (yup, always do that)
  6. Treat yourself to a beauty treatment (yessss, why not?)
  7. Go shopping (I agree 100%!!)
Well, actually that was what I did this weekend :-)
I was so stressed and depressed, I have tons of problems in my head - some of them have not been solved yet - so I really really need to do one of those tips, and I choose number 7 :-)

So I went to the mall, forget about my problems for a while, enjoyed myself and I bought:
  • X Limited eau de toilette from Etienne Aigner, and
  • Blue Paradiso Inferno Body Spray from Benetton
The next day, I bought:
  • 2 pairs of slippers,
  • The Body Shop's All In One Face Base Refill #4,
  • 2 The Body Shop's lipsticks (Pink Ginger and Beechnut), and
  • The Body Shop's Leave In Conditioner
And yesterday, I bought:
  • another 2 pairs of slippers (I nearly bought 4 pairs but better save it for next month)
  • 4 Cds of Ape On The Roof, Electronic Groove, Homogenic, and Overload Romance
Btw, they had sale... I love sale, it's one of my weakness *wink wink*

But I have my own tips to beat boredom, and it always works for me. All I have to do is lie down, relax, turn on my iPod and listen to these songs:
  1. Ordinary Life - Liquido
  2. Pizza Cutter - Letters To Cleo
  3. Electric - Melody Club
  4. Talk To Me Dance With Me - Hot Hot Heat
  5. We're All To Blame - Sum 41
  6. Stockholm Syndrome - Muse
  7. A Modern Way Of Letting Go - Idlewild, and other 'hiphip' musics
And voila!! They all gone :)
(trust me, slow musics will make you feel more bete and bete)

Best BEAUTY Secrets

Buy a Brown Eyebrow Pencil and use it to shape your brows, line your eyes, and define your lips

Lightly, dust your lips with pressed powder before applying lipstick. It helps make the lipstick last longer

To make your eyelash curler works better, heat it with blow-dryer for a couple of seconds ~ but no more than five ~ before using it

Use paintbrushes from an art supply store instead of makeup brushes. They're usually of good quality and cheaper. But the brushes must be very soft

For extra shiny hair, mix two eggs with some mayonnaise, then apply the mixture to wet hair and cover it with plastic wrap. Wait for ten minutes, then rinse and wash as usual

To help cover a zit, dab the spot with a matte white eyeshadow, then dust it with a finishing powder. It will take away some of the rednes

Now You Are Ready To Go ;)
