3 Days Before Val's Day - Love Symbols

CUPID
Cupid is the son of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. He is known as a mischievous winged boy, carrying a bow and an arrow. The arrow signify desires and emotions of love. He aimed the arrows at human, causing them to fall in love.
HEART
Heart is an important symbol. Because heart is the sacred place of emotions, it also signifies life. We always heard people say that they give their heart to someone they love. It means to give their whole being to their lover, cos heart is at the center of human body. Heart shaped is the perfect way to show their feelings.
FLOWERS
It has been a messenger of love for ages, especially Roses. It symbolize peace and war, love and forgiveness. A great way to tell your lover how special they are and how much you love them. But choose the color carefully.
Red rose stands for love and passion. Yellow rose stands for friendship. White rose stands for true love and purity of the mind. Pink Rose stands for sweetheart or appreciation. Black rose means farewell.
RIBBONS, LACES, FRILLS
Are also symbol of romance. They have been used a long time ago when a knight wore them specially made by his lover before he went to the battlefield.
LOVE KNOTS
Young Muslim women used to send love messages to their sweethearts to confess their feelings through the knots of a woven carpet in Arab tradition. It is a classic symbol of never ending true love. They are also used as means of proposing for marriage. This love knots can also be drawn on paper or using ribbon. This concept continues to this date and is quite popular.
LOVE BIRDS
Are adorable little blue colored found in Africa and they always be spotted sitting together in pairs of two. These love birds can't live without their mates. This belief is still cherished by love struck people all over the world.
Apart from love birds, there is also doves that signify purity and innocence. And swans are also popular symbol of an eternal relationship.
